Your Mission:
- Schedule Captain: Steer our production schedule to ensure timely deliveries and maintain impeccable, accurate manufacturing documentation.
- Innovation Buccaneer: Constantly explore and implement ways to improve our manufacturing processes, boosting quality and streamlining production.
- Strategic Navigator: Develop and recommend clever strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and make the best use of our crew and equipment.
- Documentation Quartermaster: Lead the charge in developing, training, and implementing all manufacturing documentation, from work instructions and job descriptions to training checklists and batch sheets.
- Performance Lookout: Keep a watchful eye on key operating metrics with regular reports, and craft action plans to address any issues.
- Batch Commander: Oversee the making and filling of batches to support our production schedule, ensuring everything runs as smoothly as a calm sea.
Leadership Adventures:
- Goal Setter: Chart goals and action plans to keep our crew’s skills sharp and their development ongoing.
- Mentor and Evaluator: Conduct performance reviews, handle disciplinary issues with a steady hand, and develop action plans to boost performance.
- Talent Utilizer: Optimize job assignments to ensure our crew is being used most effectively based on operational needs.
- Safety Enforcer: Ensure all crew members follow safe work practices and all operations comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
What You Bring:
- 4+ years in batch manufacturing, preferably in food, chemicals, consumer products or related processing environments
- 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Hands-on experience with blending and mixing manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- A solid understanding of various manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures, with the ability to work within an accredited quality environment (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, ISO).
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects within budget and time constraints.
- A knack for solving practical problems and making sound decisions on the fly.
- A collaborative spirit with the ability to partner effectively with crew members, management, and cross-functional teams.
- High School diploma or GED required. Forklift experience is a plus.
