Production Supervisor


Exceptional Opportunity: Production Supervisor Position in Eastern CT

Our Client is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading daily operations in the production area, coordinating staff schedules, and overseeing production sequences to optimize productivity. Your role will be vital in ensuring our company's cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, safety compliance, waste reduction, volume control, and adherence to quality standards.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of leadership or supervisory experience, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Proficiency in English; including reading, writing, and interpreting various documents such as safety rules, operational instructions, procedure manuals, engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and measurements conversions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Prior experience in Assembly, Extrusion, Polymer or Tooling.
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma training.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 13485:2003, GLP, cGMP, FDA and other applicable standards.

Physical Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be able to comfortably perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Regular standing, sitting, walking, and use of hands and arms.
  • Ability to hear, talk, and adjust focus.
  • Capable of frequently lifting/moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable with data entry and regular use of a computer/keyboard/mouse.

This role is based in both a manufacturing and office environment, with possible overtime and travel requirements, including to other owned properties.
