Job description:
Our client seeks an Associate for their Financial Services group, a national debt finance practice.This confidential role involves working with top financial institutions and non-bank lenders on complex financing transactions.We are looking for candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience in sponsor-backed acquisition financings, asset-based and cash flow lending, subordinated debt, first-out last-out financings, and mezzanine transactions. The qualified individual will need to come from corporate transactional background where they will be comfortable representing investment firms and commercial banking clients.
Preferably the ideal candidate will come from a strong academic background, preferably have some type of academic achievement, federal clerkship or publications.
Candidates with a transactional (corporate/M&A) background transitioning into finance are also welcome. We value self-starters with exceptional drafting skills and the determination to complete transactions while engaging directly with clients and opposing counsel.
Qualifications:
- JD from an ABA Accredited Law School
- Admission to the relevant Bar required
- 1 to 3 years of experience, preferably in a large law firm
- Submissions must include: law school transcript, cover letter, and preferably a writing sample.
