Our clientis seeking aCommercial Litigation Associateto join their growing litigation practice. They are looking for a highly motivated attorney with3-5 years of experiencewho is eager to take on challenging, high-stakes litigation matters in a collaborative and supportive environment. This position is available in theirStamford, New Haven, or New Yorkoffice locations.

Key Responsibilities:

As aCommercial Litigation Associate, you will play an integral role in a variety of complex disputes across multiple industries. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all aspects of litigationfrom case inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, trial preparation, and appeals.
  • Representing clientsin federal and state courts, arbitration proceedings, and administrative hearings.
  • Drafting persuasive motions and legal memoranda, including dispositive motions, discovery motions, and appellate briefs.
  • Taking and defending depositionsof fact and expert witnesses.
  • Conducting in-depth legal research and case analysisto develop litigation strategies.
  • Assisting with trial preparation and participating in courtroom proceedings.
  • Negotiating settlements and engaging in alternative dispute resolution (ADR)to achieve favorable client outcomes.
  • Interfacing directly with clients, in-house counsel, and opposing counselto provide strategic litigation advice.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a talented litigator with a strong academic background and a passion for advocacy.Basic Qualifications:
  • J.D. from a top-tier law schoolwith a strong academic record.
  • 3-5 years of litigation experienceat a leading law firm or reputable litigation boutique.
  • Judicial clerkship experience preferred(federal or state appellate).
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skillswith attention to detail.
  • Experience withmotion practice, depositions, and trial preparationpreferred.
  • Ability tohandle multiple cases simultaneouslyand work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Admission to the Connecticut or New York bar(or eligibility for admission).
  • Preferred Experience (Not Required but a Plus):
  • Prior experience incomplex commercial litigation, class actions, securities litigation, or regulatory investigations.
  • Exposure to litigation infinancial services, healthcare, technology, real estate, or manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity withe-discovery and case management tools.
