Trust and Estates Administration Paralegal

Our client is seeking a Full-time Trust and Estate Administration Paralegal with at least 5 years of experience for its Long Island office.The candidate will work closely with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and accountants and should have excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills, including Excel. Paralegal Certification from an ABA-approved program is a plus.

Responsibilities Include:

  • All phases of trusts and estates administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Surrogates Court rules and procedures (e.g., probate, administration, accounting proceedings) is essential.
  • Familiarity with preparing estate tax returns is preferable.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with large document intensive cases.
  • Proficient in Lexis, Westlaw, Microsoft Word, Excel and ADOBE Acrobat Professional.
  • Bachelors degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
