Job description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 3D models and drawings for mechanical parts and assemblies using SolidWorks (experience with Fusion 360 or Inventor is also acceptable)
- Assign materials, part numbers, and hardware in the models, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Work closely with the engineering team to implement design changes and maintain a detailed change log
- Assist with prototype assembly, including creating exploded views to document assembly steps
- Work independently on small projects as needed, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of experience with SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, or similar CAD software
- Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity in hardware, hand tools, and measuring instruments
- Experience creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting technical documentation
- ERP software experience is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities with the flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally and ethically with vendors, coworkers, and customers
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or related field
- Experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment
