About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic CPA firm in Orlando. This role primarily involves preparing and reviewing business tax returns for clients with revenues of $5M or more, working with complex tax matters, and assisting clients in various industries. The ideal candidate will be a Florida CPA (or actively pursuing licensure) with a strong foundation in public accounting and expertise in M-1 (book-to-tax) adjustments and state tax filings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Conduct M-1 adjustments and analyze book-to-tax reconciliations.
  • Work on tax returns for clients with issued financial statements, ensuring compliance with tax laws and GAAP.
  • Perform research on technical tax issues and provide actionable recommendations to clients.
  • Prepare and analyze tax planning projections, identifying opportunities for tax minimization.
  • Assist with payroll tax, sales tax returns, and responses to taxing authority notices.
  • Maintain direct client contact, building and fostering strong client relationships.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, providing solutions to complex tax return issues.
  • Stay updated on current tax regulations, legislation, and best practices.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting; CPA license in Florida (or actively pursuing licensure).
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience with demonstrated ability to handle complex tax matters.
  • Proficiency in preparing tax returns for businesses with revenues of $5M or higher.
  • Solid understanding of M-1 adjustments (book-to-tax reconciliations) and GAAP principles.
  • Experience with state tax returns is a plus.
  • Advanced skills in tax preparation and research software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
