Job Summary
This position will serve as a lead on the Purchased Services sourcing team as a subject matter expert in the area of healthcare services contracting and as a contract negotiator and program manager to help support the facilitator's members in achieving savings from purchased services national agreements and aggregated sourcing events. This position will lead the Contract Analyst, develop strategy and execute assigned initiatives in the Purchased Services Workplan. There will be multiple ongoing contracting projects that requirement spend assessments, sourcing expertise including managing competitive bids and contract negotiations.
Job Responsibilities
- Management of successful Aggregated Sourcing Events. The Manager is responsible to deliver successfully negotiated contracts to facilitator's members. Success will be defined as the timely meeting of all project deliverables included in the executed contract, including projected savings
- Provide project oversight, to include leading assigned contract analyst supporting all projects
- The Manager is responsible for managing assigned National agreement projects, including the completion and timely execution of assigned contracts to members that delivery high quality services and cost savings
- Understand various services industries from which healthcare providers purchase
- Research and analyze vendors to be included in RFPs
- Prepare, distribute and manage Request for Proposals
- Evaluate proposals, oversee development of financial analysis and present contract recommendations for members
- Present contracts strategy, validation, etc. to appropriate boards (nursing, respiratory, supply chain, etc.)
- Craft contract language working with Corporate Legal
- Negotiate and execute facility/IDN contracts on behalf of members
- Collaborate with members to ensure successful initiative implementation and conversions
- Working closely with the Purchased Service Contracting directors; manage all reporting, analytics, KPIs, and all other processes involved with each assigned service category
- Validate accuracy of all spend assessments, initiative score cards, reports, data, and contract recommendations prior to member presentation
- Provide weekly project updates to Assistant Vice President
- Attend off-site meetings as required
- Train staff in all new policies, processes, etc. as required
Qualifications:
- College Graduate Bachelor Degree is required
- 5 - 7 Years Healthcare Contracting Experience, required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), required
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), required
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, required
- Excellent presentation skills, required
MUST HAVE PROCUREMENT, SOURCING, NEGOTIATING, CONTRACTS EXPERIENCE- MIN 5-7 YEARS
