Director of Logistics/Supply Chain


Our client, a growing Food Manufacturer, is looking for a Director of Logistics/Supply Chain.

The Director of Logistics/Supply Chain will manage all transportation logistics, as well as the warehousing of raw materials, packaging, and finished products. This role involves developing and executing global logistics strategies, optimizing logistics practices, and building strong relationships with internal teams and external logistics partners. The Director will be responsible for achieving service and financial targets while supporting the overall corporate and supply chain strategy.
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of warehousing and transportation to ensure customer needs are met.
- Develop and implement scalable logistics strategies to support business growth.
- Manage the expansion of the supply chain both domestically and internationally by sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with vendors and 3PLs.
- Create and monitor dashboards and reporting systems to track performance metrics and enhance logistics processes.
- Lead initiatives to continuously improve logistics processes and stay current with industry advancements.
- Work with Customer Service and Accounts Receivable to minimize delivery-related fines and penalties.
- Collaborate with production and customer experience teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and manage key projects.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing logistics team.
- Execute the operational strategic plan, including project selection, resource management, and technology innovation.
- Support daily operations across multiple sites and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Tableau, SAP, etc.) to drive process improvements.
