There are advancement opportunities and this could grow into management, if that is of interest. Duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:
  • Managing automation projects from start-to-finish
  • Being the electrical engineering expert
  • Evaluating customer needs
  • Creating quotes
  • Creating prototypes
  • Determining automation project requirements and risks
  • Designing custom industrial automation machines
  • Designing electrical controls, electrical hardware and electrical power distribution
  • Testing
  • Programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)s
  • Wiring when needed
  • Liaising between mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing employees, customers and supplier
  • Traveling up to 15% with almost all being in the domestic United States

 

The background of the successful candidate must include the following to be considered for this position:

  • A four-year university degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering
  • Four or more years of electrical equipment design experience
  • Two or more years of PLC programming experience
  • Possess the ability to travel up to 15% mostly within the domestic United States
  • Possess a solid work history
  • Being a US citizen or green card holder
  • Having a residence within a 45 minute drive
