We support Tennesseans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), of all ages, to reach their maximum abilities and to lead dignified and meaningful lives through our Group Homes / Intermediate Care Facilities - meeting the lifelong needs of people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. 

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in the ICF/ID field (but we will train). This candidate should be capable of providing oversight and training of staff and will participate in meetings.

 

Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities

·        The Associate Executive Director (AED) assists and shadows the Executive Director (ED) as they oversee client care and manage the overall operation. The ED responsible for the management of the operation, employee relations management, staffing, fiscal management, and ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations.

·        The AED will serve as interim ED when the official ED is on PTO or out of operation for any reason. 

·        The AED will assist the ED in providing leadership to all staff to ensure that care standards are met and the highest degree of quality client care is provided at all times.

·        The AED will perform various support functions throughout the operation for the ED and for each department as needed, including being on-call for staffing needs

·        The AED will develop, oversee and assist in any special projects that the ED or Matrix leadership deems appropriate. 

·        The AED will assist in the professional development and onboarding of key management positions. 

·        The AED will function as a team member and leader to ensure that work is accomplished and quality care is delivered, supporting staff and leading the way in celebrating team successes. The incumbent should be an active participant in Staff Meetings, Parent Meetings and employee engagement initiatives.

·        The AED will observe and work under the supervision of the ED in the following areas:

o   Administration and operation of the city under the written authority of the company.

o   Provision of quality client services consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the company, assuring adequately trained personnel and implementation of company policies and procedures.

o   Participate in the preparation, compliance, and monitoring of a budget approved by the company.

o   Rotate throughout the various departments to both assist and acquire knowledge of the functional operations of each area to become better equipped to manage a city.

·        The AED will receive mentorship and guidance from a seasoned Executive Director who will support your professional development.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent industry / professional experience.  
  • Previous experience in working with disabled adults is desirable.
  • Experience with intellectually and developmentally disabled population, preferred but not required.
  • Will consider candidate with the following industry experience: ICF/ID, Nursing Homes / SNF, Assisted Living
