Proposal Coordinator - Insurance - Group Benefits required


Hybrid position with our client--a privately held employee benefits company in Oakland County seeking to recruit an experienced Proposal Coordinator. In this role you'll support the proposal development process with the design/development of information and materials on a variety of insurance products for Agents and Account Managers to present to Client and Prospects.

 

Responsibilities

  •  Request new and renewal quotes for Accounts from carrier per RFP.
  •  Review quotes/rates to ensure accuracy.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers at the direction of the Agent or Account Manager.
  • Coordinate and analyze information on spreadsheets and present best options for client to Agent and Account Manager.
  • Create marketing reports and graphs to support client presentation.
  • Build rapport with carrier reps.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in internal Pre-Renewal meetings.
  •  Assemble presentation material for meetings.
  • Prepare Pre and Post Executive Cost Summaries
  • Assist Account Manager and Service Representative with enrollment paperwork and other duties.  

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate degree and 1-2 years related experience.
  • Insurance industry experience preferred.

 

Computer Skills

  • Excel and PowerPoint
  • MS Word
  • Brokerage Builder/Zywave software

 

This position will go hybrid after the training period of 90 days. WFH 3 days/week.
