Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy treatments in accordance with physician's orders.
- Maintain written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries for residents.
- Collaborate with other healthcare staff to enhance residents' rehabilitation or maintenance of function.
- Participate in Resident Care Planning meetings and attend in the absence of the Director of Physical Therapy.
- Maintain statistical records of residents' treatments.
- Assist with in-service training programs when requested.
- Record and update residents' plan of care in the Inter-disciplinary Kardex.
- Submit requisitions for necessary supplies.
- Assume the Director of Physical Therapy's duties during absences, including supervising Physical Therapy Aides and handling necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an approved school of physical therapy.
- State license to practice physical therapy.
- New PT Grads are welcome to apply.
- Two years of experience in physical therapy preferred.
- A genuine interest in creating and participating in physical therapy treatment programs for the geriatric and subacute populations.
- Ability to lead and inspire others.
