Licensed HVAC Engineer for large commercial building systems
This full time, permanent Licensed HVAC Engineer opportunity for large commercial building systems is at a growing, commercial HVAC system designer, builder, and servicer located just northeast of Madison. The company has a great design and build reputation so employees are being added to keep up with the consistently growing demand. Customers are diverse across many industries so the workload is very stable. Employees are never bored as projects are challenging and vary greatly. The company promotes from within and the opportunity to run the design division could be available in the next five years, if qualified and that role is of interest.
The work schedule can be flexible but would consist of 50 hours weekly. Engineers get to see the manufacturing of the product they designed as well as it functioning after the installation. This position could grow into a division management position in four to five years. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate include the following:
- A Wisconsin Professional Engineer (PE) license or a Wisconsin Designer of Engineering Systems (DE) license is required as well as four plus years of large commercial building HVAC engineering design experience
- Pay is up to $150,000 depending on experience
- Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder

- Creating designs for diverse, large scale commercial HVAC systems in Revit or CAD
- Taking HVAC projects from cradle to grave
- Determining building load
- Creating installation plan
- Selecting HVAC equipment
- Determining sizing
- Handling permits
- Working with a variety of people
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
- A Wisconsin Professional Engineer license or a Wisconsin Designer of Engineering Systems license
- Four or more years of large commercial building HVAC engineering design experience
- Possess a passion for engineering
- Possess a solid work history
- Being a US citizen or green card holder
- Having a residence within a 45 minute drive
