Their work also extends beyond patient care as they collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and advocate for policies that promote healthy living and physical activity.
Description:
- Evaluate patients to determine their range of motion, strength, endurance, and balance.
- Based on the evaluation, physical therapists develop individualized treatment plans that may include exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and assistive devices.
- Monitor their patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients on injury prevention, self-care, and lifestyle modifications to improve overall health and wellbeing.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals
- Assisting patients with the use of equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers
- Maintaining patient records and keeping track of goals and progress
- Advising the patient and family about in-home treatment options and exercises
Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.

Candidates must possess in-state licensure
- 1 year of experience as a physical therapist

1 year of home health experience as a physical therapist - preferred

Candidates must possess strong caring interpersonal skills
