- Source new supplier for existing products
- Respond to internal requests for material and concept development
- Assess and ensure product compliance with global regulations, focused on Direct and Indirect Food contact guidelines
- Perform in-depth analysis of technical issues with adhesive substrate compatibility in specific applications
- Design and oversee extensive testing of product performance in applications
- Work directly with quality assurance to evaluate and improve new opportunity testing
- Journal ongoing projects for current and future reference
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Expertise in flexible films
- Expertise in pressure sensitive adhesives and their chemical makeup
- Able to communicate about complex topics in a simple and clear style
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills under pressure
- High comfort level with engaged team problem solving
- Detail and data driven
- Comfortable in a hands-on, do whatever it takes environment
Experience:
- 10 years flexible packaging/pressure sensitive adhesive work experience
- Education: BA/BS or comparable degree or certification in a technical field
