The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with IBM iSeries or IBM System i, as well as a strong background in managing older complex IT projects..
Responsibilities:
· Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of the company's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and data centers
· Ensure the security and integrity of the company's data and systems, implementing best practices and security measures to prevent unauthorized access or breaches
· Develop and manage IT budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency
· Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies, and recommend strategies for adoption or implementation
· Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that IT solutions and systems meet business needs and objectives
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
· At least 5+ years of progressive IT experience leading up to IT leadership roles, with a track record of successfully managing complex IT projects and teams
· Extensive experience with IBM iSeries or IBM System i, including experience in programming, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of these systems
· Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, virtualization, cloud computing, and security best practices
· Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues
· Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
· Experience administering an ERP system
· Experience working in a manufacturing industry
· Experience working in a chemical manufacturing industry a plus
