Key Responsibilities:
- Program and set up CNC milling machines to perform various machining and cutting operations.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software, particularly FeatureCam, to facilitate machining processes.
- Take corrective action and adjust offsets as needed to ensure parts are within specification limits.
- Work under the general direction of the department supervisor with minimal supervision.
- Make changes to machine offsets and replace worn or broken tooling.
- Assist with program management and ensure proper documentation on work orders.
- Visually inspect parts for defects at specified intervals and conduct required quality checks.
- Read and understand written work instructions.
- Instruct others on machine setup and operation.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Actively engage in continuous improvement activities to help the team achieve goals related to quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.
- Learn and apply basic computer skills required to complete work orders.
- Experience reading blueprints and using precision gauging equipment, such as micrometers and calipers.
