US General Manager - AgriTech


Positions:         US General Manager - AgriTech 

Location:         Fresno, California

International AgriTech company with irrigation infrastructure is growing their California presence is recruiting an individual to run their U.S. operation.  They will manage the sales / support team and grow the distribution network.

The individual we are recruiting must have irrigation infrastructure experience.  They will also work with technologies that capture data and provide it to the growers with insights on how to improve crop productivity.

The General Manager must have experience in running and growing a small team and managing a P&L.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute company’s sales / distribution strategy in the U.S.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, distributors, partners, investors, and Group Management
  • Direct and oversee day-to-day operations
  • Identify opportunities and threats and develop appropriate actions
  • Build comprehensive work plans, aligned with the company's strategy
  • Define and manage KPI's for the team.
  • Mentor and motivate a high-performing team
  • Stay on top of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors
  • Manage the company’s U.S. P&L
  • Perform financial planning and budget management
  • Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of financial reports and analysis

Qualifications

  • Appropriate college degree in Agriculture or related
  • Extensive senior management experience, in agriculture
  • Must have experience with irrigation infrastructures, including controllers
  • Have with worked with and grown distribution network
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff.
  • Have strategic planning, marketing, financial management, operational management skills
  • Knowledge of water, electronics, software, data and agricultural industries.
  • Negotiation and partnering skills.
  • Appropriate career positions and tenure, to step into the General Manager role
